There is a high demand for dental services throughout the country. If you’re having trouble attracting new patients, it might have something to do with your online presence.
You don’t have a strong information page on the internet. Make sure to invest in different services such as Google My Business and others that include information about your services such as your contact number, address, and reviews. Most patients will check online for a dentist before paying a visit.
Your website is not optimized. Include a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy for your website. Include keywords in your heading, title, articles and etc. Publish unique and relevant content frequently and use internal links on each page of your website. Optimize your loading time so you don’t make people wait too long for your website to load.
You don’t have many (or none!) reviews online. Ask your patients politely to make reviews about your business online. Most dentists don’t even ask their patients to leave any feedback, so they don’t have a lot of reviews on their business. But keep in mind that most people pay attention to the reviews before visiting any dental practice.
You’re not active on social media. Most of Americans have some kind of social media account, so if you’re not promoting your business on social media, then you are missing out on a tremendous amount of potential customers. Create pages on websites like Facebook and Instagram and actively update your feed in order to reach out to more people. Keep in mind, you can bet that your competition is using those platforms.
You are not blogging. Blog posts written for SEO which address patients’ question, new technologies or market trends and patient concerns can greatly boost your business. If you’re having trouble figuring out what to blog about, some good ideas include writing about the services you provide, answering the concerns of your patients, and posting relevant blogs.
Today, learning more about online marketing is becoming more necessary. Whether you are starting up a new practice or just wanting to make an existing practice busier, there are books and classes that you can attend or videos that you can view, but hiring an SEO or Search Engine Marketing (SEM) expert can speed up the process dramatically. Considering the cost of your time, the outsourcing of these experts can be cheaper in the long run.
