Few journeys embody that belief more powerfully than the story of Dr. Elisabeth “Liz” Yenidjeian, founder of Everyday Orthodontics in Asheville, North Carolina. As she celebrates the second anniversary of her practice, we are honored to reflect on the incredible path that brought her here.

A Journey Shaped by Resilience

Dr. Liz’s calling to dentistry began in an unexpected place: a pediatric dental office where she once worked temporarily. Growing up in New York, she spent much of her childhood helping care for her autistic sister, which instilled a deep sense of empathy and maturity.

That experience shaped her approach to patient care and inspired her to pursue a career blending science, art, and compassion.

After dental school and a craniofacial fellowship, Dr. Liz reached a turning point. She realized she wanted more than a clinical role. She wanted to create an environment that reflected her values. A practice that would feel personal, intentional, and welcoming. That dream became the foundation for Everyday Orthodontics.

However, the journey was not without obstacles. Her first office lease came with hidden issues, forcing a major change of plans. Then came the unimaginable: a rare spinal diagnosis that required multiple surgeries, one of them life-threatening. Most people would’ve paused their plans. Dr. Liz did the opposite. She pressed forward, reviewing floor plans and making design decisions from her hospital bed. Her determination became the heartbeat of the project.

Designing a Space with Heart

When Dr. Liz partnered with Arminco Inc., we worked together to bring her dream to life. Everyday Orthodontics was designed with a blend of eclectic boho charm and modern sophistication.

Muted greens, soft sage, natural woods, matte black, and textured fabrics created a balanced, welcoming atmosphere. Every detail was thoughtfully planned to ensure both workflow efficiency and long-term growth for her orthodontic practice.

What set her project apart was her wish to give a vintage nod to the history of dentistry, cleverly captured through details in her consult room from the dental chair to the photography.

She also wanted the office to reflect Asheville’s artsy, creative spirit, making the space feel inspired and uniquely her own.

It was a joy for the Arminco design team to be part of her journey, and a privilege to embody her vision through the interior with so much heart poured into every detail.

From the First Smile to Many More

One of the most meaningful milestones came when Dr. Liz’s very first patient, Erin, completed treatment and celebrated her new smile.

That moment symbolized not just a successful outcome, but the start of a community built around care, trust, and connection. Since then, Everyday Orthodontics has continued to grow, welcoming new patients and setting a standard for what a truly patient-focused practice can be.

Two Years Strong, and Growing

Today, Dr. Liz’s practice is thriving thanks to her vision, her resilience, and her commitment to serving others. For us at Arminco, it’s a privilege to have played a role in her journey, constructing a space that empowers her team and patients alike.
